Pehshwar : Boom Boom Shahid Afridi Plays Exhibition Cricket Match For IDPs in Bannu. Pakistan Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi would lead a cricket group to play a benevolent T20 cricket match with Pak-Army at Baka Khel Idps camp Bannu, said a press discharge issued by ISPR here Tuesday.
As per subtle elements, armed force group would be headed by Maj. Waqas Ahmed.
Both the groups were occupied in honing for T20 match that would initiate 10 am Wednesday morning.
A neighbourly cricket match was played in Bannu between Pakistan Army group ISPR XI and Shahid Afridi XI, went for raising trust for Idps of North Waziristan tribal office.
The 10-over match was sorted out at Bannu’s Baka Khel Idps camp where Pakistan Twenty20 captain Shahid Afridi headed his group against the armed force group headed by Lt. Col. Asghar.
The match was won by Shahid Afridi XI. DG ISPR Maj. Gen. Asim Bajwa was likewise there to watch the match and backing the players. Other than raising cash for restoration of Idps, the uncommon inviting match gave local people and Idps a possibility of excitement and diversion.
