Mobilink begins Free 3G Trial Service in Many Cities of Pakistan

Mobilink is Pakistan’s  No. 1 Mobile Operator. Mobilink has been established Free trial of 3G services for its customers in the major cities Karachi, Rawalpindi,  Islamabad,Multan, Faisalabad,Quetta, and Peshawar.

Mobilink recently bided for a 3G license for a 10 Mhz spectrum in the auction held by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) last Wednesday. Several companies have launched free trial period for their customers in different cities.

Note: Free trial of Mobilink’s 3G service is available in all big cities. To avail this, the customer will simply have to enable 3G on his supported handset and then restart the phone. To enable 3G, select any of the following in the “Network Settings” or “Mobile Networks” on 3G supported handsets:

• GSM/WDCMA (auto) mode
• 2G + 3G mode
• GSM / UMTS mode
• Dual Mode

Once this is done and the customer enters a 3G coverage area, the symbol next to the network signals will change to any of the following:

• 3G
• 3
• H
• H+
